Feathering Fridays: a little eye levity…

I am making good on my eye shadow promise.

A bit of the backstory of this post…I think it was in the Fall of 2015, I made my first Bobbi Brown purchase. I nabbed a lovely set of shadows curated as the “Greige Palette.”  I have been a long, long time fan of Estee Lauder shadows and am reticent to purchase outside that name brand. EL is milled finely, sits on my skin gently, offers many lovely color stories, and never bothers my eyes. So, quite tenderly, I crept to the BB counter and gawked at the above mentioned palette.  I decided to go for it. My review of that palette appeared here at that time, so I won’t go into more detail.

It did take me a while to get used to the BB product. Bobbi’s products are very buildable and neutral in essence, so there was a learning curve. Once done, however, I was hooked.

Last summer, I found my way back to the BB counter to try another product—her face brick in bronze. It was the perfect amount of color, shimmer and glow.

Last Fall, I added a cream blush, a finishing powder and a lovely pink powder to my collection.

Christmas brought me to her wine and chocolate eye palette.

All these products have fabulous holding power, blend well and look incredible. They cost a little more than EL but I am convinced that they are worth every cent.

Back to real time. I just tried two of Bobbi’s cream shadows—Ballet Pink and Sandy Gold. They have subtle color, gentle glow and provide a great base for anything I might wish to layer. Bonus—they are lovely on their own. No creasing, no creping, no bleeding.

Just superb!

How’s that for a little levity?

Go feather yourself and breathe deep…
